Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name for Winona Laura Hoowitz. She was who was born within Winona Minnesota. Her parents, Winona Ryder's parents, chose her name after the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz is her father, while Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder's father was born into an ethnically Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. Ryder is the younger sister of Uria as well as half-siblings Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder and her family moved to Mendocino, California, when Ryder was seven. Here, they did not have electricity. Ryder was a voracious read and often spent her time reading books because there was no television. At the age of 12 Ryder was accepted into the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. Her first role was a success on the large screen in 1986 at the age of 15 older. Ryder experienced bullying at high school. She thought that by becoming an actor her behaviour was going to be corrected. However, it didn't happen. The actress continued to chase her goals. Her breakthrough came through Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in the year 1988. Ryder had a successful role in numerous films. In 1993, she was nominated twice in the Academy Awards. One of the nominations was for her part in The Age of Innocence.
